Lesson Plan Purse: Pursuant to SC Code of Laws Section 23-31-215. To teach the basic knowledge.skills, and attitude necessary for owning, carrying, and using a pistol safely and legally. PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
- Understand information on the statutory and case law of this State relating to handguns and to the use of deadly force.
- Understand information on handgun use and safety
- Understand information on the proper storage practice for handguns, with an emphasis on storage practices that reduce the possibility of accidental injury to a child.
- Understand how to properly secure a firearm in a holster.
- Understand ‘cocked and locked’ carrying of a firearm. 6. Understand how to respond to a person who attempts to take your firearm from your holster.
- Understand and apply de-escalation techniques and strategies.
- There is a 50 question written test and 25 round live range qualification test. You need to have a 70% passing score on both
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 1 week in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 1 week before the class will not be refunded. However, you may reschedule for a later date one time.

We will contact you when we received the roster from SLED. Please bring a bag lunch as we will do a Lunch and Learn. You also can purchase the Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals book which Retail Sales is $35.00 for only $25.00 so you can review everything you learn in this course. Lastly, we have .22 caliber pistols you can rent for an additional $20.00 cash which includes 25 rounds of 22 LR ammunition. We will need to know in advance if you need a firearm
