What You'll Learn
This is a BLENDED LEARNING class (which includes online training AND an in-person skills practice session) that is geared towards leaders in the community such as neighborhood watch captains, church leaders, school leaders, community association leaders, running coaches, tour guides and the like. Topics will include personal safety, mitigation of pathogens, patient assessment, fundamentals of physical trauma (with bleeding control), fundamentals of medical emergencies, CPR, AED, choking, building a first aid kit, and more.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel in advance of a class in order to receive a refund: Classes that are "instructor led" must be cancelled 72 hours prior to the first session. Classes that are "blended learning" must be cancelled 120 hours* prior to the first session. Classes cancelled less than the specified period before the class will not be refunded. *Blended learning means that the class has an "online portion" that must be completed before the class begins, so if your seat in the class becomes available, there must be enough time for the new participant to complete the online portion prior to the first session. That's why the extra two days are needed for the cancellation.
What We'll Teach
Emergency First Aid Fundamentals
U.S. Concealed Carry Association Training is the nation’s leading firearms training and education resource, but that isn’t all we offer. We focus on learning that makes you a more responsible American and a protector of your family in any scenario. That’s why we created Emergency First Aid Fundamentals.
If you’re ready to become your family’s first responder in an emergency situation, like a car accident, serious fall, gunshot wound, or other medical emergencies, this training cannot be missed.
During this training, you’ll do more than simply sit in a classroom learning about these topics. Your USCCA instructor will work you through a dozen real-world scenarios using simulated patients and the actual products (or field expedients) that you’ll need to understand if you hope to save a life.
Lessons include:
- Patient assessment
- Traumatic emergencies
- Medical emergencies
- Building your own first-aid kit
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Participants are required to complete the online training prior to attending the in-person session.
