What You'll Learn
The American Red Cross Lifeguarding course prepares individuals to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. It provides the knowledge and skills to perform professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services arrive. The course covers accident prevention, guarding techniques, emergency systems, rescue skills, and first aid in aquatic environments.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel in advance of a class in order to receive a refund: Classes that are "instructor led" must be cancelled 72 hours prior to the first session. Classes that are "blended learning" must be cancelled 120 hours* prior to the first session. Classes cancelled less than the specified period before the class will not be refunded. *Blended learning means that the class has an "online portion" that must be completed before the class begins, so if your seat in the class becomes available, there must be enough time for the new participant to complete the online portion prior to the first session. That's why the extra two days are needed for the cancellation.
