The Defensive Pistol Program (DPP) is a comprehensive, multi-level curriculum designed to equip students with the skills needed to effectively and responsibly defend themselves with a handgun.

The program emphasizes objective, performance-based skill development and is adaptable to a wide range of experience levels.

DPP stands apart from traditional courses by focusing on measurable skill development, practical performance standards, and techniques that translate directly to real-world defensive use, not just static range drills.

Round count will be approximately 750 rounds.

This class introduces students to the safe and responsible defensive use of the AR-15 platform. Topics include rifle safety, basic operation, handling, and foundational marksmanship skills, with an emphasis on practical defensive application. This course builds confidence and reinforces best practices for safe, effective AR-15 ownership and use.

This class is designed for only AR15's. Please do not bring Bullpups, AK's, etc

Rifles must be equipped with a sling, preferably a 2 point.

Round count will be approximately 400 rounds.

The USCCA Defensive Pistol course is a practical, real-world handgun program focused on personal protection. This class is built to develop safe, efficient, and repeatable gun-handling skills that directly apply to everyday concealed carry and home defense. Develop safe and efficient handgun handling under realistic conditions

Build confidence using the handgun you actually carry day-to-day

Learn defensive fundamentals that hold up under stress

Improve decision-making tied to real-world defensive scenarios

Train with realistic carry gear, holsters, and setups—not range-only equipment

Understand how fundamentals translate to personal protection, not just marksmanship

Students are encouraged to attend with the handgun, holster, and gear they most commonly carry, as training emphasizes practical application, realism, and reliability when it matters most.

Round count will be approximately 750 rounds.

You are stepping into control of one of the most effective defensive weapon systems in existence.

The AR-15 is fast, precise, and unforgiving of poor fundamentals—it demands control, awareness, and disciplined execution.

In this training, you will build the skills required to run the platform with speed and authority. You will refine your marksmanship, master weapon manipulation, and develop the ability to maintain continuity of fire, and manage reloads efficiently.

This is a system built for performance—and it will expose gaps in your capability.

When properly employed, the AR-15 delivers unmatched accuracy, control, and effectiveness. Whether in defense of your home, in a dynamic environment, or in a professional role, you will leave this training with the ability to run the rifle confidently, efficiently, and decisively.

This is not basic instruction. This is capability under pressure.

"Huge shoutout to the instructors - JP, Travis, Freddy. The delivery of the content, the managing of the many personalities at the range, giving guidance for improvement, and just overall character was top notch. Not only did I leave a better shooter, I left as a better instructor, student, and with many new contacts I consider friends. Learning, advancing, building network, and friendships all accomplished in the couple days we spent together. Thank you."

"Great class! Once again Justin goes above and beyond what you would expect from a typical carbine class."
