What You'll Learn
Materials Provided: A complete, premium firearm cleaning kit is included with your tuition and is yours to keep.
A dirty firearm is an unreliable firearm. Whether you just purchased your first handgun or have a collection passed down through generations, routine maintenance is a non-negotiable part of responsible gun ownership. This hands-on, practical clinic strips away the confusion of specialized solvents, rods, and patches, teaching you the exact steps to preserve your investment and ensure flawless cycling.
Bring your own unloaded firearm to the workbench. Under direct professional supervision, you will completely field-strip, clean, inspect, and lubricate your specific platform.
Core Curriculum
Safe Workbench Setup: Establishing a strict clearance protocol to ensure zero live ammunition is present before maintenance begins.
Field-Stripping Mechanics: Master the proper takedown procedures for handguns, rifles, or shotguns without damaging components.
Anatomy of Fouling: Understand where carbon, copper, and lead build up, and how to effectively dissolve and remove them.
The Anatomy of Chemical Agents: Learn when to use solvents, degreasers, CLP (Cleaner, Lubricant, Protectant), and specialized oils—and more importantly, where not to apply them.
Wear & Component Inspection: Identify signs of excessive wear, spring fatigue, or structural stress before they cause a malfunction on the range or in a defensive scenario.
Proper Reassembly & Function Testing: Reassemble your firearm confidently and execute a standardized function check to verify mechanical safety.
What You Will Walk Away With
You will leave this class with a clean and lubricated firearm, the ability to maintain it independently, and a complete firearm cleaning kit ready for future maintenance.
Note: All firearms must be brought to the facility completely unloaded and cased. Leave all live ammunition in your vehicle; no ammunition is permitted in the classroom environment.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
