What You'll Learn
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- You MUST have good public speaking skills.
- You MUST learn and be able to explain the information being presented.
- You MUST be able to consistently and accurately shoot targets out to 45'.
COURSE COST INCLUDES: 8-Hour Online Course, Two-Day Workshop, Instructor Candidate Course Manual, USCCA Textbook, Lunch, Beverages & Snacks, Targets and more.
This course includes an approved curriculum for Massachusetts Basic Firearms Safety Instructors. A Separate Orientation is Required.
OBJECTIVES: After the successful completion of this course, students will be prepared to present the complete student course, “Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals” using the USCCA multimedia presentation materials. Additionally, students will be certified to instruct the USCCA Basic Handgun, Concealed Carry and Home Defense Courses and multiple "Mini-Classes".
Instructor candidates will have learned about teaching best practices, and they will have performed a number of practical exercises to their peers, applying what they have learned.
Students will also become familiar with the common mistakes made by instructors and how to avoid them, and with effective methods of marketing their firearms businesses. Students will also become familiar with how to operate a safe live fire range for their students, and will apply that that knowledge during practical exercises off and on the range.
Students will also become knowledgeable of the USCCA professional standards, USCCA expectations, how to use the USCCA resources including the Instructor Portal and how to successfully plan firearms training classes.
Upon successful completion students will be certified as USCCA Certified Instructors.

Cancellation Policy: Due to limited seating, we ask that you notify us if your plans change and you will be unable to attend. Please notify us as soon as you know you will not be attending the class. 48 hour notice required for full refund. Cancellation within 48 hours will be rescheduled. INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION COURSE: Non-refundable, due to the limited seating, schedule and required e-Learning prerequisite, the USCCA Instructor Certification can only be rescheduled to a later class.
What We'll Teach
Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals - Certified Instructor
Upon successfully completing this course, you will become a USCCA Certified Instructor uniquely authorized to teach the USCCA course, Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals.
This course has become the nation’s leading curriculum for law-abiding Americans seeking to obtain their concealed carry permit. When it comes to firearms fundamentals and concealed carry and home defense concepts, you will provide your students with high-quality material and help them understand the ‘why’ behind training concepts.
Class Preparation: You must complete the corresponding online learning course. (Automatically sent to you upon registering for the class.)
Day 1: you’ll be taught by a USCCA Training Counselor on a number of valuable topics including:
- Top ten instructor mistakes and how to avoid them
- Teaching best practices
- Running a safe live fire range
Day 2: You’ll have a chance to:
- Demonstrate your knowledge of the USCCA training material through seven short presentations to a group of your peers
- Run a live fire range, guiding your peers through the safe completion of the USCCA course of fire
