What You'll Learn
If you are nervous about the live fire portion this conceal carry class is for you. This class is for conceal carry with practice, but at the range for the live fire portion you will get extra time,1 extra target and an extra 50 rounds (1 box) of ammo to practice and some coaching before you do the actual qualifier to get your certificate. Also, Minnesota statutes for conceal carry will be discussed. We will discuss situation awareness, mental preparedness, how to handle a firearm. The aftermath of a defensive shooting and options for legal defense.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
What We'll Teach
Self-Defense Firearms Basics
This lesson will introduce you to a wealth of information on different types of self-defense firearms including handguns, home defense shotguns, and the AR-15 platform, where Michael Martin provides easy to understand explanations of the common terms used so frequently. The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
The fee ($100) for the class includes 75 rounds of ammo and 2 targets. You can purchase eye and ear protection from STAY READY! if needed (it is a separate fee). Each student must pay the range fee upon arriving at the range. The range fee is usually $31. STAY READY! is not in control of range fee.
