What You'll Learn
Minnesota statutes for conceal carry will be discussed. We will discuss situation awareness, mental preparedness, how to handle a firearm. The aftermath of a defensive shooting and options for legal defense. For the final portion of the class there will be live fire at the range and on completion of the qualifying portion you will receive your signed certificate.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
What We'll Teach
Developing a Personal Plan & Home Protection Plan
Developing a personal & home protection plan is a key component of not only preparing for how we should (or might) react if confronted by a violent crime, but also how we might avoid violent crime in the first place. Within this lesson, Michael Martin explains that developing a protection plan is about much more than becoming proficient with a firearm or writing up a home invasion plan. It’s a plan that must encompass awareness, avoidance, and preparation, so that we’re less likely to find ourselves in a situation where we have no other option than to use our firearm, rather than more likely.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
The fee ($80) for the class includes 25 rounds of ammo and 1 target. You can purchase eye and ear protection from STAY READY! if needed (it is a seperate fee). Each student must pay the range fee upon arriving at the range. The range fee is usually $30. STAY READY! is not in control of range fee.
