What You'll Learn
4-hour classroom course extensively covers handgun safety, shooting fundamentals, ammunition, malfunctions, fundamentals of shooting for accuracy, escalation of force, and relevant Conceal Carry and Federal Law Review. This course meets the training requirements to renew either your current MD or DC CCW permit when combined with range range qualification.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
MD Wear and Carry, & DC CCW renewals requires live fire qualification. Range and time of qualification will be disclosed prior to class. (LIVE FIRE) Range fee is separate from class enrollment. Range admission varies from $20-$35. Please bring a minimum of 50 rounds of ammunition for your qualifying firearm. If you do not currently have a firearm for your live fire qualification, one can be provided for an additional $20 in either 9mm or 22cal.(includes ammunition)
