Course Details ​ Upon successful completion of this course students will receive an official signed and notarized Training Certification that exceeds the minimum requirements of Delaware Title 11 Law for submission with the Delaware Resident Concealed Carry Permit Application. Students will also receive the documentation required by the Delaware State Police for the Delaware Permit to Purchase process. Non-Residents of Delaware can also take this course and use the certification for the Florida Non-Resident Concealed Carry Permit Application (See Reciprocity), and the Virginia Non-Resident Concealed Carry Permit Application. The course Length is approximately 8 hours in duration, covering topics required by Delaware Title 11 Law and the Delaware State Police including but not limited to the following: (1) Firearms Knowledge & Safe Handling (2) Safe Storage of Firearms & Child Safety, & Unauthorized Users (3) Ammunition Knowledge & Safe Handling (4) Safe Storage of Ammunition & Child Safety, & Unauthorized Users (5) Methods of Developing & Maintaining Shooting Skills (6) Federal & State Laws Pertaining to Lawful Purchase, Ownership, Transportation, Use, & Possession of Firearms (7) State Laws Pertaining to Use of Deadly Force for Self-Defense (8) Techniques for Avoiding Criminal Attack; How to Manage a Violent Confrontation, & Conflict Resolution (9) Suicide Prevention (10) Live-Fire Range Component Including a 100 Round Minimum Expenditure. This training exceeds the minimum standards in Delaware Title 11, Section 1441, Concealed Carry as well as the minimum requirements outlined by the Delaware State Police for Delaware Permit to Purchase under Delaware Title 11, Section 1448D. This course is taught by Delaware Approved Concealed Deadly Weapons Firearms Instructors from Delmarva Defense LLC.

Course Requirements

Safety must be first and always. Students must be at least 18 years of age. Individuals prohibited by State and/or Federal Law to possess a firearm and/or ammunition are prohibited from registration. For safety reasons, those who are pregnant should not attend. This course is designed for any experience level, and applicants do not need to have prior knowledge or experience with firearms before registering. Once registered, students are required to bring the following items, and items must be in safe operating condition: ​

• Handgun
• 100 Rounds Target Ammunition (Factory FMJ Ammunition Only - No Reloads)
• Minimum Two Pistol Magazines (If Applicable)
• Proper Personal Protective Equipment (Hearing / Eye Protection)
• Closed Toe Footwear with Aggressive Tread
• No Low-Cut or V-Neck Shirts
• Weather Appropriate Attire
• Valid Driver's License or State Issued Photo Identification ​ A limited amount of rental equipment is available for an additional fee of $60.00 per person including required ammunition while supplies last. Fee is subject to change. Rental(s) must be approved by Delmarva Defense LLC. This option can be selected during the checkout process. ​ Price Details ​ The base price for this course is $200.00 per person. Seating is limited. ​ Utah Concealed Firearms Permit (CFP) Promotion ​ Those interested in obtaining their Utah Concealed Firearms Permit (CFP) application credentials will have the opportunity to do so by selecting the "Utah CFP Promotion" option at checkout. The regular cost for the Utah CFP Course is $115.00 + 4 Hours of training in a separate class. By selecting this option, students will have the option to attend an additional 30 minutes of classroom instruction after the Delaware CCDW Training on the same date to meet/exceed the minimum training standards for the State of Utah. This supplement includes: (1) Utah CFP Certified Training Course (2) Physical Utah CFP Application (3) FBI FD-258 Compliant Fingerprint Card (4) Certificate of Course Completion (5) Addressed Envelope to BCI. Individuals and/or groups of individuals who do not show up for scheduled training and fail to notify Delmarva Defense LLC at least 48 hours in advance to reschedule, may not be refunded or guaranteed registration in a future class. In the rare event of unsafe weather conditions or circumstances outside the control of Delmarva Defense LLC, the course may be rescheduled for a future date as soon as safely possible. Once registration is secured, a post-registration email containing detailed course information will be sent within 24 hours to the email account used during the checkout process.
