What You'll Learn
This class is only available to residents of Kentucky! Residents of other states are ineligible to receive a Kentucky CCDW permit.
This course is approved by the Kentucky DOCJT and will provide the necessary training and certification for the student to receive a concealed carry deadly weapon (CCDW) permit for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
All training will be conducted at American Shooters Indoor Gun Range. This course consists of approximately four (4) hours of classroom presentation and two (2) hours of live-fire qualification on the gun range.
This course is a pass / fail course. Students who do not meet the minimum qualification standards will be required to retake the course again at a later date if they wish to obtain their permit.
Cancellation Policy: Tuition fees are non-refundable. Any student who is unable to attend a class will be moved to the next available class.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Students are responsible for providing their own firearm and ammunition. Weapons and ammunition must conform to American Shooters Clarksville's policies.
