Viking 6 Tactical Beginner Pistol Class
Ready to learn how to safely handle and shoot a handgun?
The Viking 6 Tactical Beginner Pistol Class is designed for new firearm owners and individuals with little or no handgun experience. This hands-on class provides a safe, supportive environment where students will learn the fundamentals of firearm safety, firearm operation, and basic marksmanship.
Monthly Class Schedule
This class is offered every month on:
• 1st Wednesday of the Month | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM • 3rd Wednesday of the Month | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM • 3rd Sunday of the Month | 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Cost: $50 Per Person
Classes are held at The Gun Shop & Gun Range in Leesburg, Florida.
Topics Covered
• The Universal Rules of Firearm Safety • Safe Firearm Handling Procedures • Loading and Unloading a Handgun • How to Safely Clear a Firearm • Proper Grip, Stance, Sight Alignment, and Trigger Press • Basic Marksmanship Fundamentals • Range Safety and Etiquette
Live-Fire Range Session Included
Students will demonstrate:
• Safe Firearm Handling • Loading and Unloading Procedures • Clearing a Firearm Safely • Basic Live-Fire Skills • Fundamental Accuracy Techniques
Upon successful completion, students will receive a Beginner Pistol Certificate of Attendance.
This class is the perfect first step for anyone interested in firearm ownership, personal protection, or future Concealed Carry training. It is also an excellent refresher course for individuals who have not handled a firearm in years and want to rebuild confidence and safe gun handling skills.
As with all Viking 6 Tactical training, our focus is on developing safe, responsible, and confident firearm owners through practical instruction and hands-on learning.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund or we can reschedule to another date. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded. This does not apply to free classes.
What We'll Teach
Self-Defense Firearms Basics
This lesson will introduce you to a wealth of information on different types of self-defense firearms including handguns, home defense shotguns, and the AR-15 platform, where Michael Martin provides easy to understand explanations of the common terms used so frequently. The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Please call or text if you need a firearm. Firearms can be rented at The Gunshop, and if you are using one of our firearms you need to provide your own ammunition which can be purchased at The Gunshop.
