What You'll Learn
In this class, the Instructor(s) will review the 4 Universal Safety Rules & go over Florida Laws concerning Concealed Carry in Florida. This will QUALIFY individuals looking to receive a Florida Concealed Weapon License.
This class is NOT intended for brand-new shooters, but for those with some experience in handling handguns safely.
• Students with no experience / no handgun are recommended to first take the “Ready, Aim, Start” Class. • Students wanting more advanced training are recommended to participate in: o “Pistol Fundamentals Level 1, Pistol Fundamental Level 2, & Pistol Fundamentals Level 3 Classes”
Class Schedule: Saturdays, 1:00PM - 4:00PM [Please arrive at least 1/2 hour early.] Class Description: Detailed overview of Florida CCW laws & justified use of force.
Topics include: • Review of Firearm Safety • Legal Use of Force • Florida Law Review (for CWL applicants) • Live Fire on the Range
Class Requirements: [Class is NOT intended for brand-new shooters. Some handgun experience is required] • Students must know basics of handgun manipulation (Clearing a firearm, slide-lock to the rear, proper grip etc.) • Students must bring their own handgun. No Rentals Permitted in this class. • 50-rounds of Ammunition (boxes of ammunition available for purchase in-store.) • Students with no experience / no handgun are recommended to first take the “Ready, Aim, Start" Class.
Certifications Earned: Exceeds requirements for a Concealed Weapons License (CWL) in Florida

Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.

* Classes are NON-Refundable. Students are given ONE opportunity to reschedule for emergencies. No-call / No-show will mean a forfeiture of any chance to reschedule. If the Instructor(s) are unable to make the class, students will be given a chance to reschedule or receive a refund. Students MUST check in to the range prior to entering the classroom. Additional SAFETY Reminders: - Online range waivers must be completed prior to the start of the class. - Firearms must be cleared of all ammunition and a chamber flag must be inserted into it prior to start of class. - All live ammunition will be held at the Gun Range before entering the classroom. - If purchasing ammunition, please do so prior to the start of the class. - Handgun rentals must be completed before the start of the class. - Feel free to bring a Notepad & Writing utensils as well as any refreshments/snacks.
