What You'll Learn

USCCA Emergency First Aid Fundamentals

6-Hour Hands-On Course

Emergency First Aid Fundamentals is designed to give students practical knowledge and hands-on skills for responding to serious injuries and medical emergencies before professional help arrives.

This course covers patient assessment, severe bleeding and bleeding control, airway and breathing emergencies, traumatic injuries, common medical emergencies, and first-aid and trauma-kit fundamentals.

Unlike a lecture-only class, this course includes time for hands-on practice and practical exercises so students can work through the skills being discussed rather than simply hearing about them.

Topics include:

Scene and patient assessment Severe bleeding and hemorrhage control Tourniquet use and wound care Airway and breathing emergencies Traumatic injuries Burns, fractures, and other common injuries Heart attacks, strokes, seizures, and other medical emergencies First-aid and trauma-kit fundamentals Practical exercises and emergency-response scenarios

No previous medical training is required.

This course is appropriate for individuals, families, firearm owners, outdoor enthusiasts, business owners, church or security teams, and anyone who wants to be better prepared when an emergency occurs.

Is there private instruction available? Private and mobile training is also available for individuals, families, businesses, and small groups who prefer personalized instruction or would like training conducted at their location.

Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.

What We'll Teach

Emergency First Aid Fundamentals

U.S. Concealed Carry Association Training is the nation’s leading firearms training and education resource, but that isn’t all we offer. We focus on learning that makes you a more responsible American and a protector of your family in any scenario. That’s why we created Emergency First Aid Fundamentals.

If you’re ready to become your family’s first responder in an emergency situation, like a car accident, serious fall, gunshot wound, or other medical emergencies, this training cannot be missed.

During this training, you’ll do more than simply sit in a classroom learning about these topics. Your USCCA instructor will work you through a dozen real-world scenarios using simulated patients and the actual products (or field expedients) that you’ll need to understand if you hope to save a life.

Lessons include:

  • Patient assessment
  • Traumatic emergencies
  • Medical emergencies
  • Building your own first-aid kit

Additional Notes from Your Instructor

Course Length: Approximately 6 hours This is a hands-on educational course. Students should be prepared to participate in practical exercises and simulated emergency scenarios. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move, kneel, and participate in hands-on activities. No prior first-aid or medical experience is required. Important Certification Notice This course does not provide CPR, First Aid, EMT, or other medical certification. The purpose of Emergency First Aid Fundamentals is to develop practical knowledge, preparedness, and emergency-response skills. It is not a substitute for professional medical care or a certification course required by an employer or licensing agency. Training materials and equipment used during classroom exercises will be provided unless otherwise noted. Public courses are subject to minimum enrollment. If a scheduled class does not meet minimum enrollment, registered students may transfer to another available course or receive a refund. Private Training Available Private instruction is available for: Individuals and families Couples and small groups Businesses and workplaces Churches and security teams Clubs and community organizations Mobile/on-site training may also be available at an appropriate location.
