California CCW Renewal Training (8 Hours)

Renew your California Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) license with our comprehensive 8-hour renewal course. This class satisfies the renewal training requirement for the Orange County Sheriff's Department (OCSD) and participating municipal issuing agencies in Los Angeles County.

This course is approved for permit holders renewing through:

• Orange County Sheriff's Department (OCSD)
• Gardena Police Department
• Glendale Police Department
• Hermosa Beach Police Department
• Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD)
• Montebello Police Department
• Redondo Beach Police Department
• Torrance Police Department
• Whittier Police Department

Please Note: This course is approved for LAPD applicants but is not approved for Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) applicants.

During this course, you'll receive a focused review of California firearm laws, recent legal developments, safe firearm handling, conflict avoidance, situational awareness, the lawful use of force, firearm storage, and the responsibilities that come with carrying a concealed firearm.

Students must successfully complete the required classroom instruction and live-fire qualification with each firearm listed on their permit to receive a California DOJ-compliant Certificate of Training for renewal.

While this course satisfies the training requirement for the issuing agencies listed above, successful completion does not guarantee renewal of a CCW license. Renewal remains subject to the requirements and approval of the issuing agency.
