What You'll Learn
Why Night Courses? Because most bad guys work from 9 pm-5 am.
Most fights occur during times of low light or even complete darkness. Let's face it, most bad guys lurk during the night for their prey. Don't fall victim. Come out and get professional instruction to build upon your defensive shooting skills
Training during daylight hours alone is not preparing you to win should you ever need to fight with your firearm in the dark. That`s why every gun owner should gain the experience of training in low light and at night
Attending night courses during the summer months when the daytime temperatures at Lytle Creek are quite hot, but the nights are beautiful. The weather during the night courses is usually about 63-68°, calm, and clear, and plenty of ambient light from the Moon and stars above
This course is not for first-time shooters. This night course is for individuals who have attended any Handgun Skill Builders or have proven firearms efficiency. Students must be very familiar with the operation of their own handgun before being allowed to attend and engage in live-fire for this Nighttime shooting course. This workshop was originally designed for current CCW holders who wanted to advance their defensive shooting skills. This course is taught by credentialed NRA and USCCA Instructors
Hours of Training:
Please arrive 30 mins early on the evening of your course. The Night course runs for about 1 hour of daylight, 1 hour of twilight, and 2 hours in the darkness using natural ambient lights from the stars and moonlight.
Gate closes promptly at start time with no further entrances. Beware; Spring, Summer, and Fall start times will vary each month due to changes in sunsets
How are the night courses different from the daytime versions?
Night courses start in the evening before the sunsets. This allows a brief review of the skills learned during the prerequisite courses. As the sun sets and the light fades, you will be learning low-light techniques to get reliable hits on your target. Once the ambient light is gone, you will be using your primary flashlight to gain target identification, sight alignment, and sight picture. You will learn night-specific after-action drills and malfunction clearances
