What You'll Learn
This class introduces students to the safe and responsible defensive use of the AR-15 platform. Topics include rifle safety, basic operation, handling, and foundational marksmanship skills, with an emphasis on practical defensive application. This course builds confidence and reinforces best practices for safe, effective AR-15 ownership and use.
This class is designed for only AR15's. Please do not bring Bullpups, AK's, etc
Rifles must be equipped with a sling, preferably a 2 point.
Round count is approximately 400 rounds.
Cancellation Policy: Students may cancel and receive a full refund if cancellation occurs more than 30 days prior to the class start date by contacting Partner Support at (877) 577-4800 Students who fail to notify within the required timeframe and do not attend the class will not receive a refund No refunds will be issued once the class has been attended
What We'll Teach
AR-15 Fundamentals
This classroom and live-fire AR-15 Fundamentals course is designed to introduce responsible gun owners to the safe handling, proper maintenance, and effective use of AR-15-style rifles in the context of civilian home defense and defense.
Classroom topics include:
- Overview of basic AR-15 nomenclature and function
- Cleaning and maintenance
- Accessorizing the AR-15
Live-range topics include:
- How to safely and effectively operate an AR-15
- How to confirm zero
- How to improve skills and precision with an AR-15
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
This course is designed for serious students who want skills they can rely on—not just drills they can pass. Train with the gear you trust, focus on fundamentals, and leave with tools you can apply immediately in your daily life. If you are interested in becoming a USCCA Certified Defensive Rifle Instructor, you must first take this end-user version of the class.
