I have been armed and trained for many years but it wasn't until violent crime against women close to my area became "common" and we had young women and women of all ages being abducted, raped and murdered that I decided to DO something. Not the "something" that tells you to be defenseless, but something that gives you the skills needed to NOT become a victim! I set out to learn every aspect I could including 28 weeks with 2 different police depts in their Citizens Police Academy, firearms classes from some of the industries leading ladies and I got involved in grass roots polictical activism for victims rights and gun rights. I am a USCCA Certified Firearms Instructor, a 2A Activist and have spoken at the Alabama Statehouse committees and rallies fighting for gun rights and victims rights on several occasions. I have led a Baldwin County gun rights group and worked to help get Constitutional Carry passed and encouraged people to vote for Aniah's Law. No parent should ever have to go through what Aniah's parents did and I believe every law abiding person should be able to be armed and ready to defend themselves and their loved ones. I am still involved politically with anything concerning our safety. Firearms ownership comes with great responsibility. Each gunowner has the responsibility to learn how to safely and effectively handle your gun, understand the laws in your state and train regularly.
