“If you wanted or if you think you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons,” President Biden said two Wednesdays ago. While this sentence alone warrants criticism, Biden made this statement to justify his continued crusade against gun owners. He continued by stating the Second Amendment has limited the type of people who could own a gun and what type of weapon they could own since the day it passed. Anyone else cringe at this statement about the Second Amendment even more than Biden’s first comment? Hopefully. In all seriousness, these are scary words leaving the president’s mouth.

Expect More Biden Gun Control to Come

The above argument made by Biden was a poor attempt to make coming legislation and past executive orders appear less infringing to Americans.

The Biden administration’s six actions from April are just the initial steps of its anti-gun program. And legislation likely won’t need Congress’ approval to pass. Biden will issue more executive orders and … voila! Your rights will be trampled.

President Biden is reiterating his call for Congress to pass more legislation to curb the “gun violence public health epidemic.” Biden addressed gun dealers that are “breaking the law for profit” in his most recent comments on “gun violence.” He assured the “merchants of death” would be held accountable for violating federal laws. The administration also promised to help employ more state law enforcement in order to hold firearms dealers accountable.

Not Very Good Advice

Ready to cringe again? In 2013, our esteemed leader gave his wife Jill some questionable self-defensive advice that could have landed her in jail. “I said, ‘Jill, if there’s ever a problem, just walk out on the balcony here, walk out and put that double-barrel shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house.” He continued, “You don’t need an AR-15 — it’s harder to aim, it’s harder to use, and in fact you don’t need 30 rounds to protect yourself. Buy a shotgun! Buy a shotgun!” Former Delaware deputy attorney general John Garey said that several criminal charges would result if Jill Biden ever followed her husband’s foolish advice.

If this isn’t an indication that the man leading the crusade against guns doesn’t know a lick about guns, I don’t know what is. Maybe it would do him some good to enroll in a firearms course and learn about firearms safety and the laws surrounding firearms ownership before waging a war against them. Hey, he might even reevaluate his stance on guns if he did. (I’m allowed to dream.)

‘Gun Control’ = Wasted Effort

Law-abiding citizens know that gun violence is caused by individuals making awful choices, not responsibly armed Americans. Biden should focus on protecting responsible, law-abiding Americans, not disarming them. The fact is, Biden’s efforts will have little or no impact on violence in the U.S. They will instead strip away the rights of gun owners.
