"Thirty-five years of law enforcement has made it clear that while the death or serious injury of a loved one (or ones self) may well be the worst day of your life, a close second would be the day you are arrested and criminally prosecuted. You need an advocate on your side and such representation is prohibitively expensive for many citizens.
