I typically don’t address comments, but when they impugn my honor, I like to set the record straight.
Yes, we do product reviews here at Into the Fray. No, you can’t buy your way in. The way I see it, editorial integrity is much more important than a few bucks. If you see us present a gear review, you can rest assured that we actually believe in the product being reviewed.
In the future, if companies want us to promote their products, that will be completely separate from Into the Fray and we will make it very clear. There are some products out there we would be willing to promote. But the truth about Concealed Carry Magazine and Into the Fray is this: We have in the past and will continue to turn down advertising dollars from companies that produce products we don’t like.
Not many companies can say that. If we produce a segment or a story about a product, it is because we’ve found that product to be useful and of good value. Our integrity is much more important than any amount of money someone could offer us. End of story.
