Sooner or later you will have to talk to your non-gun-owning friends about why you carry. You might be asked not to carry at someone’s house. Or you might be grilled on gun safety at your house when people come to visit. I can’t give you the exact words; they are your friends, not mine. But understand that as responsible gun owners, we know we are doing right, being safe, and protecting the ones we love.
Walk the Walk
Explaining and defending your rights rationally is important, but it is more important to lead by example. Do things safely. Be a responsibly armed American and people will know they have nothing to fear from you.
