Do not overlook those flimsy pocket-style holsters as a great option for concealed carry — especially pocket carry. Small, lightweight fabric holsters made by companies like Sticky Holsters, Galco and others offer great concealment, incredible versatility and a little extra benefit of which you might not be aware.
That extra benefit is that these holsters slow down your ability to reholster. From a tactical perspective, you should not be in a hurry to put your gun away after a deadly force incident. Fabric holsters require that you remove the holster, insert the gun and return the gun and holster together as a unit. This is a great plan.
After the Fight
Don’t be so quick to put your gun away. Make sure the threat is stopped and no other threats are headed your way. Only then should you reholster.
