Tim Schmidt Discusses New Jersey CCW Permit Fee Increase On The Wilkow Majority

New Jersey Governor Proposes 700% Fee Spike On Concealed Carry Permits

According to a report by NJ.com, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy proposed an increase on fees associated with gun-related purchases.

The proposal includes an increase of the concealed carry permit fee by 700%, among others.

Tim Schmidt stated, “Governor Murphy’s proposal to make it more expensive for responsibly armed citizens to protect themselves and their families will only make the state less safe,” said Tim Schmidt, Founder & President of the United States Concealed Carry Association. “Law-abiding Americans must have the ability to protect themselves and others, and limiting that right to only those who can afford the fee hike is an irresponsible way to fight crime. Lawmakers should be making concealed carry rights more available to those who wish to practice them, not less.”
