What is Concealed Carry Reciprocity/Recognition?
Concealed Carry Reciprocity/Recognition means that two (or more) states have an agreement to honor each other’s concealed carry permits. With reciprocity, you must follow the laws of the state in which you are currently located rather than the issuing state. States’ reciprocity ranges from those that recognize no other states’ permits (like California and Hawaii) to those that recognize all other states’ permits (like Missouri and Utah). Thirty-eight states have some level of reciprocity.
