BE YOUR OWN DEFENDER INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION

If you have professional or comparable experience in self defense or related instruction, you may be eligible to be certified as an ASP Defender Instructor. The 8-hour BYOD Instrcutor course is taught by ASP Trainers and is moderately physical in nature. Completion of the course requires successful demonstration of learned skills and teaching ability, both on the training floor—as determined by the Trainer—and in a final class quiz. ASP takes training, personal defense, and our reputation seriously, so it is important to know that Instructor certification is never guaranteed. But our Trainers will make every effort to help every participant succeed, and any qualified instructor candidate should be able to.
