6 Checkpoints of Defensive Handgun Competence Timing in Balance of Speed and Precision Lateral Movement Facing Movements Use of and Movement to Cover Decision-making and Stress Innoculation Dominant/non-Dominant Hand Shooting and Transitioning Timed and Evaluated Shooting Drills and Qualification THIS COURSE IS PART OF OUR 22 HOUR GUNTRY DEFENSIVE HANDGUN ACADEMY
Students will receive a certificate for class completion, and will have an opportunity to shoot for skill patches and a "Top Shot" challenge coin
Equipment needed for the course:
A safe, reliable semi-automatic handgun for everyday carry, with a quality, concealable strongside or appendix holster and belt (No SERPA)
Minimum 300 rounds of ammunition
3 or more magazines
Magazine pouch or carrier
LOANER HOLSTERS, MAGAZINES, POUCHES AND BELTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR MOST COMMON HANDGUNS
Prerequisite training:
Complete GUNTRY Semi-Auto Pistol 2 and Semi-Auto Pistol 3, or;
holds current state-issued carry permit, or;
Complete USCCA Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals - Level 1
Over 1 million students have taken the U.S. Concealed Carry Association’s course offerings across the nation. The Defensive Shooting Fundamentals class can be taken by anyone of any skill level. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced shooter, you will walk away from this course a better protector of yourself and your loved ones.
You will learn the concept of balancing speed and precision to begin the course, understanding your individual limits, the importance of accurate hits to target, and ability to quickly engage with a target.
