Over 1 million students have taken the U.S. Concealed Carry Association’s course offerings across the nation. Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.

This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.

Additional Notes from Your Instructor

• Bring your own firearm and ammunition. • Live Fire/Range hours are not guaranteed by this instructor due to limited venues that allow it. In the state of VA, Live Fire/Range hours are not required to obtain certification, although the instructor does recommend such training, provides it in private classes, as well as instills some hands on practices in each CCW course. • Firearms brought to class should be unloaded. They will be checked, or checked as “cleared” by instructor, before class. • If you have been charged with a crime that prevents you from possession of a firearm, please refer to Virginia Law Code § 18.2-308.2, before signing up for this class. • Be prepared to take notes. • CCHP Course Book for reference & continued education available for purchase during class for $20 if interested. USCCA also offers this book in their online store as an EBook. • Range Fees NOT Included. Any issues with class requirements, please contact Jill S. McDaniel directly via email [email protected].
