What You'll Learn
The Introduction to Handguns and Safety course is designed capture the students’ interest and alleviate their concerns about firearms. This is for the beginner that has a peaked interest and is considering purchasing or has purchased a firearm for home defense and possibly concealed carry option.
This course includes: • The Universal Safety Rules – pertaining to all firearms. • Understanding the actions of a handgun – how it functions. • Understanding types of handguns – semi-automatic and revolvers • Understanding ammunition. • Determining which handgun is right for you.
Additional topics may include an introduction to home defense shotguns and rifles as well as other use of force alternatives. After completing is course you will have a basic understanding of firearms and safety related to firearms. This course is scheduled for 1.5 hours of classroom instruction.

Online Courses: All online courses are non-refundable, as they include immediate access to e-learning materials upon registration.
What We'll Teach
Self-Defense Firearms Basics
This lesson will introduce you to a wealth of information on different types of self-defense firearms including handguns, home defense shotguns, and the AR-15 platform, where Michael Martin provides easy to understand explanations of the common terms used so frequently. The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts.
