What You'll Learn
Texas License to Carry (LTC) Certification Course
This course provides the required training and firearm qualification for obtaining a Texas License to Carry (LTC), as mandated by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Course Format:
Online Classroom: Complete a self-paced e-learning module on Texas laws, firearm safety, and other essential topics before attending the live range session.
Range Qualification: Join us at CYA Guns and Ammo in Forney, TX for the live-fire proficiency test required by the state.
Course Topics:
- Texas laws on weapon possession and use of deadly force
- Safe handgun handling and use of restraint holsters
- Non-violent dispute resolution and safe storage practices
- Written exam and live-fire proficiency test
Important Details:
- Prerequisite: Basic handgun proficiency required (this course does not cover beginner handgun training).
- Duration: 4-6 hours online and 2 hours at the range.
Cancellation Policy: **Guardians Defense Course Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy** Guardians Defense reserves the right to reschedule a course if the minimum attendance requirement is not met 72 hours prior to the scheduled date. In the event of rescheduling, you will be notified and offered the option to select a new course date or receive a full refund. Student Cancellation Policy: - For in-person courses, cancellations made up to 72 hours before the course date can reschedule or receive a full refund. - Cancellations made within 72 hours of the course date will be offered the option to reschedule, but no refunds will be provided for no-shows or late cancellations. Online Courses: All online courses are non-refundable, as they include immediate access to e-learning materials upon registration.
What We'll Teach
Texas Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals
In this course you will learn about the main topics pertaining to the carrying of handguns in the state of Texas. The overall objective of this course is to educate students on the responsibilities and laws applicable to handgun license holders. Before attending the in-person class, you must complete the assigned eLearning accessible through your USCCA dashboard.
