My Biography

With more than 35 years of firearms experience and 18 years as a professional instructor, Ben maintains his shooting skills by participating in shooting competitions and numerous tactical firearm training classes each year. He has earned an USPSA Limited Division Master Class level in competition. Ben has had over 1,400 hours of documented training with world renowned firearm trainers such as Tom Givens, Massod Ayoob, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, Chuck Taylor, Luis Awebak, Micky Fowler, Mike Dalton, and Kenneth Mays.

In addition to being a lifetime member of the NRA, USPSA, and IDPA, Ben is a Texas Certified License to Carry Instructor (LTC), a Texas Certified School Safety Officer Instructor (SSO), a NRA Certified Firearms Instructor, USCCA Certified Instructor, and a Range Master Certified Instructor.

"Ben was very knowledgeable and my wife and I really enjoyed the class. He really covers so much information that neither my wife nor I ever thought about or realized. He covered all the laws, consequences, benefits, and facts that pertain to concealed carry, self defense, and criminal/civil liability if God forbid we should ever need to use deadly force to protect our family and loved ones. He was easy to listen to and made his lecture interesting and engaging. The shooting portion was a lot of fun and both my wife and I passed and I feel it was because of what a good job Ben does in preparing all his students. We enjoyed it so much, we plan to take some other shooting/self defense classes that he offers. I would highly recommend anyone who is interested to take Ben as an Instructor."
