Cancellation Policy: Top Gun Academy classes guarantee your seat in class. We do not overbook classes. Your payment is for a seat in the class, only. If you choose to not use your seat, that is your prerogative. If you choose to give or sell your seat to someone else, that is also your choice. If you prepay for a class code, the code also belongs to you, and you can use it as you see fit. There is no expiration for the code. We do not refund class tuition. Classes can be reschedule per our reschedule and cancellation policy. We will happily reschedule with no fees as long as you give us a full week’s notice. Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Dear Armed Guard Student, Thank you for registering for our upcoming armed guard course. We start promptly at 9:00 am on both Thursday and Friday. You need to arrive early to fill out your waiver and check into class. Class starts with or without you, and you must attend every moment of class. If you are late, you will be sent home. You will NOT need your firearm or ammunition on Thursday, so please do not bring them on Thursday. On Friday be sure to have your handgun in a box, bag, or holstered on your hip. Do not walk in with a firearm in your hand. For class, you will need: 1 service grade pistol. This will be the pistol of record for your armed guard license. (Friday only) 150 rounds of ammo for your pistol (Friday only) If you want to qualify with more than one firearm, we can do that. There is a fee to do so, but it is cheaper to add the additional firearm the day of class. You will need an extra 50 rounds per additional firearm to be added. 2 magazines (Friday only) A holster for your pistol. Avoid cloth, nylon, and Serpa style holsters. SERPAS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. Do not bring one and expect to use it. You will not be allowed to do the shooting portion with it. (Friday only) Magazine pouch (Friday only) Pen and paper for note taking- there is a 50 question written test both days. We do have gear and guns for rent if you need something. Seriously, do not bring a Serpa style holster. See the image below if you are concerned if your holster is a Serpa style. Feel free to ask or send a picture of your gear if you have any questions. Fingerprinting and Filing for Your License If you want us to help you with your photographs and electronic filing of your paperwork, we can do so. There is a separate fee for that service. You will need to get your fingerprinting done prior to beginning your paperwork. You will also need an email account you can access to create a user account with TN Dept of Commerce and Insurance. If you already have an account with the TN Dept of Commerce and Insurance, you will need your user name and password.
