"We took Eugene's couple's handgun basics and safety course and can report that he is an excellent instructor. I had a fair amount of trauma throughout my childhood and young adult life surrounding the dangerous misuse of guns. So one of many things I appreciated about Eugene is that there is nothing about him that comes off as macho, arrogant, or showy when it comes to his firearms expertise. He truly knows and loves his craft while also having the utmost respect for the seriousness of picking up a firearm, regardless of where, when, or why. Safety is always his primary concern, and he made sure it was our primary concern too. The environment he provides is also welcoming and open, so it's very easy to learn in. He notices unease, mistakes, difficulties, or safety issues quickly and he intervenes immediately and patiently, helping with every single step until you've found success. By the end of the class, we felt completely different about safety and our ability to handle and fire guns from the way we did before we took his course. Perhaps the most important thing he impressed upon us is that firearms training is a perishable skill that requires constant practice. And now, since taking his course, I feel capable of continuing to train. His rates are more than fair for the attention and expertise he provides. Highly highly recommend OnPoint Defense. Thanks, Eugene. I will be coming back to you for the concealed course."
