What You'll Learn
The course will cover BASIC Firearms Safety Rules, BASIC Handgun Features (Nomenclature), BASIC Handgun Uses and Techniques, BASIC Handgun Knowledge and Skill for Safe Handling, BASIC Safe Storage of Firearm and Ammunition, BASIC Safe Transportation and Safe Storage Methods in Vehicles, BASIC Safe Handgun Cleaning Instruction, and BASIC Current Tennessee Law on Carrying Handguns.
The successful completion of this class will allow the student to apply for the State of Tennessee Concealed Carry Permit.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will receive credit towards a future class. In the event of a weather event, the class will receive credit towards a future class.

Self-Defense Firearms Basics
This lesson will introduce you to a wealth of information on different types of self-defense firearms including handguns, home defense shotguns, and the AR-15 platform, where Michael Martin provides easy to understand explanations of the common terms used so frequently. The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts.
