Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 72 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 72 hours before the class will not be refunded.
What We'll Teach
Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals with Simulations
This real-world self-defense scenario training is designed to improve your mindset and skills, regardless of experience level or background, in a safe and controlled environment. You can practice making split-second decisions, which will help you to understand the legal use of force. This is one of the most practical and effective ways to recognize when — or if — the use of deadly force is justified. Test your knowledge and learn from realistic situations that you could encounter in your daily life. Simulation training scenarios activate students’ mental and physical responses to mimic real self-defense scenarios, giving you a deeper understanding of how you’ll react under pressure.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
The classroom portion will cover all required materials to get MD Concealed Carry Permit and HQL. The Range portion will cover real world scenarios using training firearms to get you a better understanding of potential threats. The Range portion will be to prepare you using and handling your Firearm. Then you will conduct a series of drills to work on your marksmanship and have the instructors work with you prior to your REQUIRED QUALIFICATION SHOOT. Firearms will be on site for rental and ammunition for purchase please let us know in advance so we can have what you need for you.
