What You'll Learn
This course is Step 2 of 3 in our foundational pistol training series. We strongly recommend Pistol 1 or equivalent before you attend Pistol 2. The student MUST know and be able to demonstrate how to safely load, fire and unload a pistol.
Course includes: (1) Pistol Selection Considerations; (2) Support Equipment; (3) Shooting Basics - the Importance of Proper Grip, Sight Alignment, Sight Picture, Stance, Trigger Control and follow through Presentation of the pistol from the Holster to the Target and Safe Recovery Back to the Holster; (4) Administrative and In-Service Loading and Unloading Techniques; (5) Static Shooting Positions; and (6) Cleaning and Maintenance.
Cancellation Policy: Due to the high demand for Firearm Trainers LLC classes, there are no refunds. However, we do allow students to transfer to a future date of the same class when possible.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
For the safety of all students, electronic hearing protection is required at all times. No exceptions. Pocket pistols are prohibited. Beginner Pistol or Pistol 1, or comparable experience, is a required prerequisite class to take this course. Students should plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of class. This course is taught by USCCA and NRA Certified Instructors. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a Firearm Trainers Completion Certificate. Quality functional semi-automatic pistol – Full size and compact pistols - and .22 caliber pistols only. Revolvers are not allowed. No micro pistols or pocket pistols to include: P238, P938, P365, M&P Shield, Glock 43, etc. Please bring 3 magazines and a dominant side, hip-mounted holster or dominant side, belt-mounted holster. Please wear long pants with pockets and belt loops, a sturdy 1.5" belt, closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals), and a crew neck (T-shirt) or button-up shirt (no low-cut neckline). Loading devices are optional.
