Jeffery Whitaker

My love for firearms started when my grandfather took me out hunting for the first time at the age of 7. I have been a avid hunter and shooter for 35 plus years. I have spent numerous years as a Corrections Officer, where I was the Armorer and a member of the Special Response Team for the prison. In 1999, I got into competitive pistol shooting. I am currently ranked as a Master class pistol shooter in 3 different divisions in the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA). I am also a former member of Team Sig Sauer, where he helped test and introduced the Sig Sauer P320 9mm handgun for Sig Sauer. I am a former coach for the Wheeler County Rangers, which was a Scholastic Shooting .22 Cal League sponsored by the Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office. The age group for the Rangers was between 12 – 19 years old. I have had the pleasure of instructing and coaching many men, women and kids in safe gun handling in the self defense arena and in the shooting sports. I am also a USCCA and NRA Certified Handgun Instructor.
