What You'll Learn
This course covers the universal safety rules, the mechanisms of a firearm, and the shooting fundamentals. This course is an ideal option for the student who wants to start their firearm journey as well as the student who wants to become more familiar with their firearm.

Cancellation Policy: Students should cancel 72 hours in advance of class. No refund will be issued. Students will have the opportunity to transfer to the same class within six (6) months of the original class date. The exception to this policy is If Silhouettes Firearms Training, LLC has to cancel, then a full refund will be issued if student cannot transfer to another class within six (6) months.
What We'll Teach
Self-Defense Firearms Basics
This lesson will introduce you to a wealth of information on different types of self-defense firearms including handguns, home defense shotguns, and the AR-15 platform, where Michael Martin provides easy to understand explanations of the common terms used so frequently. The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts.

Please note the following: —We are in the Spring Lake/Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg)/Fayetteville, North Carolina area. —Course fee includes classroom material, range fee, firearm, rounds, target, access to our virtual (electronic) range, eye and hearing protection, a mini coaching session, and a certificate of completion. --Late and No Show Policy: Students are afforded a 15 (fifteen) minute grace period. However, class will begin on time. If student is unable to be seated in class within the 15 (fifteen) minute grace period, that student forfeits their seat in the class. They are considered a "NO SHOW." Students considered a "NO SHOW" will not be permitted to transfer to another class. —Our preferred range is offsite in Cumberland County and requires travel to get to it. -- Possession of firearms, etc. by a felon is prohibited. Chapter 14; Article 54A: The Felony Firearms Act states that is is unlawful for any person who has been convicted of a felony to purchase, own, possess, or have in his or her custody, care. or control any firearm or any weapon of mass death and destruction as defined G.S. 14-288.8(c). -- Emails pertaining to your class registration and any updates will be sent from [email protected]. -- There is a no refund policy. If the student is unable to attend the original class that they registered for, the student may transfer to the same course at a different date/time within three months (90 days) from the original class date pending that they contacted Instructor Andréa Williams 24 hours prior to the start of their class. -- Disrespect to instructor, RSO, range personnel, or any Silhouettes employee, volunteer, or affiliate will not be tolerated. Poor attitude, aggressive behavior, foul language, bullying, and not listening to instructions will not be tolerated. A display of these things will result in the student forfeiting their seat in the class. -- The instructor, Andréa Williams, has the right not to issue certificates of completion or a passing grade to any student at any time.
