Additional Notes from Your Instructor
THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER COURSE. ATTENDANCE DOES NOT GUARANTEE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION. To receive credit for this class, students must pass a written exam and a shooting qualification with shots fired at 3, 5, and 7 yards. Failure to achieve these objectives set by the NC DOJ will result in course failure. Registration costs are NOT refundable or transferrable due to course failure. It is assumed that students taking this course have previously handled firearms and are able to safely and independently load, unload, and fire a handgun. Successful students, upon completion, will receive the certificate required to apply for the NC CCH permit. Students will need a pistol and approximately 50 rounds of ammunition. A defensive caliber handgun is advised. Rimfire pistols are NOT recommended. Students who do not own a gun may rent a firearm from the range (selection may be limited). The course fee includes all instruction, an official copy of the NCJA Concealed Carry Handgun Training workbook, additional course materials, and the completion certificate. Range and firearm rental fees (as applicable) are NOT included in the tuition costs and must be paid directly to our home range, EAGLE 1, upon arrival. VALID PHOTO IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND ALL FIREARMS COURSES. NOTE: Range fees are not included and must be paid to the range on the day of class.
