What You'll Learn

This course will include classroom instruction and live shoot/don't shoot scenario training, utilizing our virtual firearms training simulator.

Critical incidents involving the use of force happen very quickly, and can have life-altering consequences. Give yourself the edge to survive not only the physical encounter, but the potential legal fight afterwards. Learn about the critical "Golden Hour" of any self defense use of force situation, and the important steps that you need to take before and after the incident. Gain the edge by learning to recognize pre-assault body language indicators, and understand the effects of the physiological responses to stress in a critical incident. Learn the principles of self defense law that govern the legal use of force.

Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded, but may be rescheduled for another upcoming class within a reasonable time frame, at the discretion of the instructor.

What We'll Teach

Legal Use of Force

"My recent Use of Force class was an excellent course. My instructor was Jon Plyler. His many years of experience in law enforcement and as an instructor for law enforcement made the class very credible and he is an excellent teacher. He also teaches unarmed combat as a Jiu Jitsu instructor so he is very well rounded. The interactive part of the course with the big screen and our laser pistols was very realistic. We were put in different situations of shoot, don’t shoot. After a scenario was over we would replay the scenario again for critique. Jon would ask us to talk him through the scenario and explain why we did what we did so we were able to critique ourselves on our performance but he provided guidance for us. I would highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t taken the class to do so. We spent several hours in the classroom learning the laws in our own state of NC. It was light years better than what I received in initial concealed carry class many years ago. Thanks so much to my instructor Jon Plyler and thanks for making classes like this available through USCCA. I’ve been a member less than a year but I’m so impressed with USCCA and the excellent people that are associated with it."
