What You'll Learn
REQUIRED SKILLS: You MUST have good public speaking skills. You MUST be able to explain the information being presented. You MUST be able to consistently and accurately shoot targets out to 45'.
OBJECTIVES: After the successful completion of this course, students will be prepared to present the complete student course, “Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals” using the USCCA multimedia presentation materials. Additionally, students will be certified to instruct the USCCA Basic Handgun, Concealed Carry and Home Defense Courses. In addition, instructor candidates will have learned about teaching best practices, and they will have performed a number of practical exercises, applying what they have learned.
Students will also become familiar with the common mistakes made by instructors and how to avoid them, and with effective methods of marketing their firearms businesses. Students will also become familiar with how to operate a safe live fire range for their students, and will apply that that knowledge during practical exercises off and on the range.
Students will also become knowledgeable of the USCCA professional standards, USCCA expectations, and how to use the USCCA resources including the Instructor Portal.
Upon completion students will be certified as USCCA Certified Instructors.
Course includes discussion and trial use of additional training aids with NLT-SIRT Pistols, Laser-Ammo IR Pistols, LASR Dry-fire Training System and Smokeless Range Software.w/ Video Scenario Trainer Pro 2.0.

Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals - Certified Instructor
Upon successfully completing this course, you will become a USCCA Certified Instructor uniquely authorized to teach the USCCA course, Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals.
This course has become the nation’s leading curriculum for law-abiding Americans seeking to obtain their concealed carry permit. When it comes to firearms fundamentals and concealed carry and home defense concepts, you will provide your students with high-quality material and help them understand the ‘why’ behind training concepts.
Class Preparation: You must complete the corresponding online learning course. (Automatically sent to you upon registering for the class.)
Day 1: you’ll be taught by a USCCA Training Counselor on a number of valuable topics including:
- Top ten instructor mistakes and how to avoid them
- Teaching best practices
- Running a safe live fire range
Day 2: You’ll have a chance to:
- Demonstrate your knowledge of the USCCA training material through seven short presentations to a group of your peers
- Run a live fire range, guiding your peers through the safe completion of the USCCA course of fire
