INTRODUCTION TO AR-15'S FUNDAMENTALS

THIS IS A CLASSROOM ONLY EVENT - NO LIVE-FIRE

Located in Salem NH on Rte. 28, near the Massachusetts border, this class will introduce and teach you the basic fundamentals of the AR-15 platform.

If you are thinking of purchasing your first AR-15, or are new to the AR Platform, this class is an excellent place to start.

The USCCA’s Introduction to AR-15 Fundamentals course is designed to introduce responsible gun owners to the safe handling, proper maintenance and effective use of AR-15-style rifles and to bring awareness to the usefulness of this platform in the context of civilian home defense and defense of life. Classroom instruction covers topics such as basic AR-15 nomenclature and function, cleaning and maintenance, and accessorizing the AR-15.

• Introduction to Classroom Presentation
• Safety - Demonstrate an understanding of the safety rules both in the classroom and on the range.
• History and Popularity - Understand the history and misconceptions surrounding the AR-15.
• The AR-15 Designs - Identify the basic parts and functions of an AR-15. Loading, unloading rand clearing - Demonstrate how to load and unload an AR-15.
• Maintenance and Cleaning - Understand how to safely break down an AR-15 for routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Accessorizing the AR-15 - Describe the advantages (and disadvantages) of various accessories and support gear options.
• AR-15 Shooting Basics - Learn the basics of shooting an AR-15, including proper stance, grip (four points of contact) and trigger control, and prepare to demonstrate those skills on the range.
• Zeroing an AR-15 - Learn how to verify zero on an AR-15 and recognize its importance and use.
• AR-15 for Home and Personal Defense - Identify the advantages and disadvantages of using an AR-15 around the house and for home defense.
• Preparing for the Range

You'll learn about the differences and how to operate several AR Optic Systems, including Red-Dots, Holographic, Prism and LPVO's (Low Power Variable Optics).

Course includes hand-on practice with the AR15 Carbine Rifle. We will provide an AR-15 for hands-on exercise, if you wish to bring your own AR-15, please contact us prior to the class.

Upon completion of the USCCA AR-15 Fundamentals course, students will have a strong understanding and foundation to build upon. Whether for sport or competition, to personal defense focus, the USCCA AR-15 Fundamentals sets students up for a safe and successful journey toward being a responsible and effective AR-15 owner.
