What You'll Learn
A balance of personal safety education, conflict avoidance, and simple to learn self-defense skills. These are street effective, gross motor skills for stopping a threat and safely escaping.
Best for the average adult and teens aged 15+.
- Realistic scenario training (Padded suit used by coach).
- Verbal de-escalation/conflict avoidance.
- Pre-contact cues/behavior detection concepts.
- Legal & moral aspects of using force.
- Personal & home safety and security tips.
- Emergency & disaster preparedness tips.
- Simple (gross motor skill) self-defense strikes and escapes.
- Surviving knife and firearm attacks.
- Improvised weapons.
- Pepper spray lesson.
- Discussion of other training and weapons options.
All skills can be employed by any average adult/teen who has full body mobility.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
