What You'll Learn
The Citizens Defense League Michigan CPL course empowers students to become responsible armed citizens. This class places a premium on situational awareness, conflict avoidance, and the legal aspects of carrying a firearm: when you can use force; how to travel with a firearm; and the aftermath of a self-defense encounter. The time spent on the range will help students lay a foundation for basic defensive shooting skills and marksmanship.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Lunch and a rental firearm for the live-fire portion of the class is included in the registration. Students will need to bring at least 30 rounds of 9mm ammunition or purchase a 50 round box of 9mm ammunition at the range for the live-fire portion of the class. A range fee of $12 – if applicable – is payable to the range the day of class. If you need to rent a firearm and purchase ammunition at the range, you will be able to do so.
