What You'll Learn

Combat field medical class: We will cover the first 2 phases of the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) that is used by the US Military. Phase 1 Care under Fire (CUF) Focus on life-threatening wounds and moving the casualty to cover. The only medical intervention is to apply a tourniquet to control major hemorrhaging from the leg or arm. We will cover types of carries and the difference between a hasty tourniquet and a deliberate tourniquet.
Phase 2 Tactical Field Care (TFC) After you have dragged your casualty to cover. You will learn MARCH, Hemorrhage control, Airway management, wound care, and monitoring vitals. You will learn how to use everything in the Army standard individual first aid kit (IFAK) that is carried on every Soldier deployed.
