What You'll Learn
This FREE course is a basic introduction to firearms and firearm safety. Students will learn basic information about firearms to alleviate their concerns, and well as to gain the confidence to begin their journey in responsible gun ownership.
The very first concept taught in this course is the four universal safety rules of firearms. From there, you’ll learn important fundamentals like the procedures involved in properly clearing semi-automatic handguns and revolvers, different types of firearm platforms such as shotguns and AR’s, non-lethal defense weapons like tasers and pepper spray, the intricacies of revolvers, and additional safety considerations to be aware of should the worst happen.
Students will also learn about the next steps involved in pursuing their License to Carry or FID Card in Massachusetts.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
What We'll Teach
Self-Defense Firearms Basics
This lesson will introduce you to a wealth of information on different types of self-defense firearms including handguns, home defense shotguns, and the AR-15 platform, where Michael Martin provides easy to understand explanations of the common terms used so frequently. The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts.
