COMPREHENSIVE HANDGUN INSTRUCTION DEVELOPMENT

This intensive course is designed for individuals seeking to become certified Handgun Instructors, with an emphasis on both instructional proficiency and emergency response capabilities. Participants will gain expertise in diagnosing shooter techniques, ensuring they can effectively assess and improve handgun handling skills among their students. Key components of Day 3:

1. Evaluating Shooters/diagnosis of techniques:

• Detailed analysis of common shooting errors.
• Methods for evaluating grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control, and follow-through.
• Strategies for providing corrective feedback tailored to individual learning styles.

1. Stop the Bleed Certification:

• Comprehensive training on hemorrhage control techniques critical in emergency situations.
• Hands-on practice with tourniquets, wound packing materials, and pressure dressings.
• Certification upon successful completion of practical assessments.
• Students will also receive a Trauma Kit with certification of completion.

1. Maryland Qualified Handgun Instructor Curriculum Requirements:

• Overview of state-specific legal requirements and responsibilities for instructors.
• Development of effective lesson plans that align with Maryland standards.
• Techniques for fostering a safe learning environment while promoting responsible firearm use. Upon completion of this program, participants will be equipped not only to instruct future handgun users but also to respond competently to life-threatening emergencies involving traumatic injuries.
