What You'll Learn
In an emergency, every second counts. If the time ever comes, you’ll be able to take meaningful action by learning the basic first aid and lifesaving techniques taught in this course.
Our Emergency First Aid Fundamentals course teaches you basic first aid and lifesaving techniques to be used in the event of a medical emergency, like a car accident, serious fall, gunshot wound, or other medical emergencies.
During this training course, you’ll do more than simply sit in a classroom learning about these topics. Your instructor will work you through a dozen real-world scenarios using simulated patients and the actual products (or field expedients) that you’ll need to understand if you hope to save a life. You will learn how to properly assess a patient and how to deal with significant issues such as venous and arterial bleeding, compromised airway, head, chest, and spinal injuries, broken bones, burns, heart attacks, seizures, strokes, and more. Finally, students will learn how to build their own First Aid/Trauma Kit.
Lessons include:
Patient assessment Traumatic emergencies Medical emergencies Building your own first-aid kit
While most Americans are comfortable applying a simple bandage to deal with minor scrapes and cuts, the vast majority are unequipped to effectively handle severe, life-threatening injuries or illnesses during a medical emergency, especially when every second counts. The goal of Emergency First Aid Fundamentals is to help you gain the knowledge, confidence, and competence needed to deal with dozens of medical and traumatic emergencies.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 7 days in advance of a class in order to receive a full refund. Students may request to reschedule their class to another session any time prior to their initial class date/time. A no show without request to reschedule shall be considered a forfeiture of any fees paid.
