What You'll Learn

Firearm’s Safety Training Course combined with the Maryland State Police additional modules will satisfy Maryland’s requirements for the HQL. The class shall consist of a minimum of four (4) hours of instruction and will affirm the applicant’s safe operation of a firearm, which will require a course of fire. This course is designed to cover the following subject: State firearm Laws, Home Firearm Safety, Firearm overview of the proper operation and safe handling of a handgun, cleaning and maintenance, the loading and unloading of ammunition. Also, understanding the differences between revolvers and semi-automatic handguns. A course agenda will be provided at the beginning of class. The instructional portion of the course will occur in the classroom. The operation and handling demonstration of the course will either occur in the classroom (via simulation) or at a secure firing range.

Unless otherwise exempt, as of October 1, 2013, a Maryland Resident must possess a valid Handgun Qualification License before they may purchase, rent, or receive a handgun.

Cancellation Policy: All Sales are final. Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date to have your class rescheduled.
