Tonya Fons

I am a USCCA Certified Instructor who is certified in Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals and Women's Handgun and Self Defense Fundamentals. In addition to USCCA, I am an NRA certified instructor in basic pistol, rifle, Personal Protection in the Home, as well as a Range Safety Officer. I am also a certified 4-H Level II Rifle instructor and a Level I Shotgun instructor. I am a shooting instructor with Becoming an Outdoors Woman in Maine.

I've attended several of the NRA's Women's Wilderness Escapes. Some of my most memorable experiences include long range shooting/hunting instruction in Wyoming with Brenda Weatherby using the Weatherby Camilla rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor, shooting sporting clays at Seven Springs Resort, Woman's Self-Defense and experiencing a variety of classes at SIG Academy in NH.

I have also taken up hunting and enjoy the outdoors. I have been fortunate to harvest several bears, a bull moose, a cow moose and a bull elk, along with many birds (turkey, pheasants).
